Dr Angela Riganti
Angela has been interested in rocks and minerals since the age of 6. She graduated as a geologist in Italy, where her University peers nicknamed her ‘the tourmaline’ for her ability to remember long formulae. She spent time in South Africa (where she collected a PhD and a husband) and Namibia before moving to Kalgoorlie and then Perth as a geologist with the Geological Survey of Western Australia. She is a founding member of the Mineralogical Society of Western Australia.
